Silica Gel for Desiccators
Silica is characterized by a high porosity, which makes it an adsorbent with a higher capacity for water or desiccant.
The main ingredient of silica gel is silicon dioxide, and the absence of cobalt chloride makes it a harmless and contamination-free product.
The original colour of the silica is orange and as it absorbs moisture it changes colour to green.
The gel when saturated with water can be regenerated at a temperature of 110 °C.
