Teflon Adapter for Reactor Flask Stirring Rod
Ground conical joint made of PTFE with external sealing gaskets to prevent sticking of the connection and reduce the danger of glass breakage. A special PTFE gasket and an FPM O-ring compressed by a GL thread seal provide adequate sealing of the agitator shaft. This seal can be replaced when worn.
Accepts 8 mm diameter shafts.
Applications: Suitable for vacuum, perfect bearing for stainless steel and glass shafts.
Teflon (PTFE) is an inert material with a high resistance to most chemicals.
Working temperature resistance is -270 °C to 270 °C.
Can be sterilised by conventional means, except gamma radiation.
Meets FDA (Food and Drug Administration of the USA) and UPS Class VI (United States Pharmacopoeia approved sanitary material) requirements.
